What is VAIA?
Virginia Association of Insurance Agents (VAIA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation created by the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia in 2004. The mission of VAIA is to provide insurance education and training programs to facilitate insurance literacy and career opportunities within the industry.
What is InVEST?
InVEST, a school-to-work insurance program, teams with high school and college educators to provide a useful insurance curriculum for students. With the help of InVEST liaisons (insurance professionals), students have the opportunity for job shadow days, internships or even careers after graduating from InVEST. Its mission is to improve insurance literacy in students and attract new talent to the industry.

Career Fair Fund
VAIA offers a variety of options when it comes to your insurance pre-licensing needs. We offer training resources for both Life, Health & Annuities and Property and Casualty.
You can study for the Virginia exam by taking one of our classes, or purchasing a self-study package.
In-house classes can be arranged as well.
If you have hired someone new and need them to get training in personal or commercial lines, VAIA has you covered.
We offer a Commercial and Personal Lines week to speed up the process of getting new hires up to date on insurance product knowledge.
ACSR classes are used during theses weeks.
ACSR classes can also be done al a carte throughout the year via classroom, self-study or webinar.
Imperial PFS Pre-Licensing Scholarship
Scholarship funding is available for (1) VAIA Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing course or (1) VAIA Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing Self-Study Package. This scholarship is available for an employee of a member agency of the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia. To be considered for this scholarship the agency principal must complete an application and return to VAIA by deadline listed on application. There is an 18-month expiration date on this scholarship.
