The Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) program is a specialized curriculum focusing on the insurance and risk management needs of construction projects and contractors. To obtain the CRIS certification, you complete 5 specialized courses, which can be taken in any order, on construction risks and insurance.
CRIS classes 1-5 offer 8 P&C EACH and are designed for anyone who designs, sells, buys, or underwrites construction insurance programs.
All CRIS classes are from 8:30 to 5:00, unless otherwise noted and are located at IIAV, 8600 Mayland Dr., Richmond, VA 23294.  Click on a link below for more information and to register.

CRIS Reaccreditation Requirement (7 hours):

When you obtain the CRIS certification, it is valid for 24 months.  To maintain the CRIS certification, you obtain only 7 hours of approved construction risk and insurance continuing education credit every 12 months thereafter (generally one online course or a seminar).
